Yummy is an iPhone application that allows you to browse, search and edit your delicious.com bookmarks. It is available from the AppStore either in iTunes or on your iPhone or iPod touch. The "lite" version, called Yummy Browser, is also available.

Announcing Yummy for iPhone 1.0

I think it's about time that I told you what Yummy actually does. (Finally!)

Those of you who already use Delicious.com (formerly del.icio.us) will probably already have guessed from the cunning use of their colours in the icon, but Yummy is an application for browsing, searching and editing your Delicious.com bookmarks from your iPhone or iPod touch.

The opening view is of a chronologically ordered list of your bookmarks. You can drill down and see the full post, including your tags and notes. Naturally you can flip over to Safari to see the web page you linked to. Your bookmarks are synchronised with Delicious.com so you do not have to download them every time.

What makes Yummy unique is that you can add, edit and delete bookmarks on your phone too, all using the same intuitive interface.

It will be available shortly for $1.99, £1.19, €1.59 or your local equivalent.

In the next few posts I will elaborate on some of the key features. Stay tuned.

On your marks...

Now the ball has really started rolling. Yummy has now been submitted to the App Store, so the time-scale from now is mainly down to the boys and girls in Cupertino. Come on Apple!

In the screen-shot above you can see a big clue about what Yummy actually does. I'll elaborate more in a few posts in the next week or two.

Coming soon...

If you have an iPhone or an iPod touch you might want to bookmark this page because soon I will be launching a new application. It will be available exclusively from the AppStore, both on your handset and from iTunes.

It is currently being beta tested by a small number of people and once they're happy with it I'll be launching shortly afterwards. Exactly when depends on how efficient Apple are reviewing submitted applications. I anticipate a couple of weeks from this post.

This blog will discuss development, progress and functionality. And once it's available in the AppStore you'll get the chance to provide feedback in a more interactive way than way than submitting a review to Apple.

I'm have fun developing for an exciting new platform. I hope you find the results useful.
